Not all anxiety is visible. Sometimes it shows up as constant worry, difficulty relaxing, fear of making mistakes, an excessive sense of responsibility or a mind that simply will not switch off. At other times it appears in the body: a racing heart, muscle tension, shallow breathing, insomnia and fatigue.
How therapy helps with anxiety
In online sessions, drawing on cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), we look at what increases anxiety, what keeps it active and which responses can support regulation in daily life. The goal is not to erase every worry, but to widen your resources so you can move through difficult situations with more awareness and calm. Sessions are available in English and Portuguese.
Signs that anxiety needs care
- Worry that will not switch off, even without a clear reason.
- Difficulty sleeping, relaxing or concentrating.
- Frequent physical symptoms, such as a racing heart and tension.
- Avoiding situations, people or commitments out of fear.
- Emotional exhaustion that rest does not restore.
The process respects each person's rhythm and does not replace individual evaluation. In case of risk or emergency, contact your local emergency services immediately.
